A struggling mum of 2

I am struggling... rather hard.. to be a mum of 2 (yea, its only 2, not 4 or 5!). I am struggling with potty training, sleep training, playing with/teaching my kids.

Kaelyn's already 2 years 8 months, and she is not potty trained. We have tried several times to put her on the potty, and also taught her to inform us when we wants to wee or poo. But what we only get out of it is, sometimes after she had pooed, she'll say 'I want to pass motion'. There was once while laying on her bed at night, she suddenly turned to me and said: 'Mama, tomorrow if I want to pass urine or pass motion in school, i will tell teacher Joanna that I want to go toilet'! I am not sure if I am causing her stress such that she's even thinking about it at night!

Kaelyn is a night owl, she refuses to sleep before 10pm every night. I have tried very hard to put her to bed earlier only to meet with bawls and protests from her. Sometimes she will be yakking non stop in her bed till 1130pm before she finally drifts off! I'm really at my wits ends sometimes because she has to go to school the following day and I want her to have at least 9 hours of sleep at night! And it's also very tiring having to coax / negotiate with her every single night.

As for Sherryn, she is in the danger of following her sister's footsteps. Tried to put her in bed at 7 plus pm at night but have not had much success. She'll be wide awake till about 9 - 10 sometimes 11 before she succumbs. And the girl does not sleep much in the day either! What have I been eating?

With the arrival of Sherryn, 24 hours is really not enough for me. I am perpetually tired, often shouting at Kaelyn as she throws her toys ard, refuses to sleep, bullies mei mei... Having only 4 - 5 hours sleep at night, I usually will sleep in later in the morning, while Kaelyn's away at child care. By the time I have rested enough, it is noon and Kaelyn will be back from school soon. Kaelyn will sometimes ask me to play with her before her nap. When she naps, I am most likely feeding Sherryn and trying to make her sleep. Soon after, Kaelyn wakes up from her nap and its time to split my attention again.

There's really not much time for proper potty training, teaching Kaelyn, and sleep training them. Every day just passes like that in a flash. Hope things will get better when the little one sleeps through the night and I can better manage my night pumping sessions...

I really hope to get some success in the potty training and sleep training bits for Kaelyn before my maternity leave ends. Oh, and also to clear those dark eye rings and bags, and slim down by then as well.
